Recently I began to experience it again because I was leaning on a counter top at work. This time around it took only a couple of days for me to recognize what I was doing. I stopped the leaning and the pain resolved within days. What a relief. I do not live a sedentary lifestyle. I’m not saying that it can’t be caused by that, but I would prefer to seek other causes. Plus, it’s very hard to stop having a sedentary job, if that’s what you’re trained to do! Much easier to change jogging shoes, or alter a behavior. But if you’re sitting a lot, remember to sit like a man, get in and out of chairs like a man, and go up and down stairs the same way. You could try a standing desk. Many employers are providing those for their employees.

The extremely flamboyant fitness personality Richard Simmons has certainly brought hope and comfort to an entire generation of men and women struggling with their weight, but what he may end up being most remembered for is his Sweatin’ to the Oldies line of aerobics videos. Simmons and his pals would get you up off the couch and sweating the weight off all while backed by the melodious sounds of oldies music. We can’t think of a more glorious way to lose weight. Anybody who has been bodybuilding for a while knows the importance that joints have in one’s ability to keep training hard. If joints are not operating at their peak, the ability to lift heavy weights and perform certain bodybuilding exercises becomes limited. For instance, for an exercise like the bench press you need healthy shoulders, elbows, and wrists. If any of these becomes badly damaged, then there goes your ability to bench press and the quality of your upper body workouts suffers as well.
