I do have a specific problem and would like to know if I am the only one. I am in the second week of month 1 of Insanity. I do not follow the nutritional plan, I am trying to do my own healthy meal plan. The problem I am facing is that I am not able to eat the amount of calories I am suppoosed to. For example, I am supposed to eat around 1900 calories a day, but in the evening I still have 200-300 left. I eat often, small portions. I am just not hungry, do I need to force myself to eat all that calories to fulfill the needs of my body or is it ok to eat less?
Another thing that you might do is to keep your weight lifting as part of your routine, and do Insanity Workout videos every other day. No one says that the program “must” be done in 60 days. Everyone has different goals and if some are aiming for fat loss and looks, others are maybe striving for increased performance. I for one never stopped doing Insanity. Even after completing the Asylum, even after incorporating cycling and running into my schedule. I dedicate one day for this and the next for that.

I was the same way in month 1, but once week 2 came I was so much better n didnt have to take that many breaks. same happened in month 2. by the second week I was so much stronger n when I had to stop for a break it would just be for a second to catch my breath. so hang in there n do ur best, you’ll get faster n stronger in no time!

  11. I am currently a University student, and my room mate actually brought this work out to my attention. She really wants to do it and wants me to join her. The problem that I see is the difference between our fitness levels. My room mate is one of those people who eats anything she wants, weighs 120lbs, and never moves a muscle in her body. (She does understand that she will have to do some prep work before she can begin this, and shes fully aware that she needs to get in better cardio shape first). I however, am one of those people that eats all the right stuff, and because I am a student (who spends all day sitting and studying) I have gained 60pounds since I started. This puts me at being 5’4 and 200lbs.

  12. Here is another more pragmatic advice- try to not stress too much over the number of hours you planned for sleep. Go to bed even later rather than earlier. Have a day when you sleep only for 6 hours, intentionally. I assume the next day it will all come right back in place.
