I think most people come to dislike exercise because of long-held emotional issues surrounding being a poor athlete at a younger age combined with trying to use exercise as a tool to achieve weight loss as part of some barbaric calorie-counting, self-hatred “resolution” scheme (which is not a useful or productive way to use exercise).
