Standing, use your non-injured leg to raise your injured ankle into a pointed position, so you are standing on your toes. Now, shift all of your weight to your injured leg. Slowly, lower your heel to the ground. Shift your weight back to your good leg and get back into the toe standing position. Repeat the process 15 times for one set. So it’s up with the good leg, down with the bad leg. It should take you about twice as long to complete the down phase, or eccentric part of the exercise as it takes you to complete the concentric phase.
Slowly bring your hands up to mid-chest or slightly underneath nipple level. As you raise your arms, bend your elbows out away from your body. Do not continue the movement all the way up to the top as this can aggravate your shoulder.

It’s not that people who exercise drink more; it’s that people generally drink more on days they’re physically active, which tends to be when the “social weekend” kicks off: Thursday through Sunday. One theory is that people may reward themselves for exercising by having more to drink, or the exercise triggers a desire to be more social and interact where alcohol is consumed. Not a bad correlation if you ask us.

This particular stretch concentrates on each side of the shoulder one at a time. This means you will have to complete this stretch on one side first, then repeat it on the other side. This way you will be able to equally stretch both sides. Stand in an open doorway and raise your arm at 90 degree angles out from your sides. Position your arms like goal posts, with your forearms pointing upwards at a 90-degree angle from your upper arm. The vertical part of your arm should be placed against the door-frame. Lean forward and take really gentle half steps. This stretch can be beneficial not only for curing pain between your shoulder blades but also for stretching out your chest and upper back.
This movement will help strengthen the front of your body and engage your shoulders, upper back, and arms.

Posted at 11:09h, 19 April Reply Open Heart Alternatives I am a 77 year old female who is active and in good health. However, every muscle I have hurts when I use it. I had a pulled achiles tendon once and the pain in my muscles is the same as that pain. Aleve doesn't touch it nor does other pain killers. It did not respond to cortozone (only my stomach lining responded negatively to that!) I have told three GPs and one Orthopedic surgeon about it. Their response was that it was probably an inherited tendency for the tendons to become inflexible. If so, is there anything available to keep me pain free enough that I can continue to do the things I need to do.......walk a reasonable distance, etc. I'd really appreciate the help.
